The UT Martin MBA is a widely recognized, professional degree targeted toward mid-level and senior-level positions. The program is designed to prepare individuals for responsible managerial positions by providing background in the major areas of business. The UT Martin MBA is accredited by AACSB International, the premier accrediting agency of business programs around the world. The University of Tennessee is constructing a new building to house the college and will open a center for experiential learning. They also intend to further expand the online MBA to include additional areas of study. Finally, the UT Martin MBA will increase college endowment. The University of Tennessee at Martin Offers Two MBA Options:
Master of Business Administration
The traditional general MBA is offered onsite and is available for both full-time and part-time students. Year round course offerings of the 35 credit hour program typically allows completion by full-time students in four terms (about a year and a half including summers). Part-time students may take up to six years for completion but typically finish in about two years. Entry into the onsite MBA program is allowed during any term (Fall, Spring, or Summer). We welcome applicants with a variety of undergraduate degrees. Though encouraged and considered within the admissions process, we do not require professional work experience prior to entry into the onsite MBA program.
Online Master of Business Administration for Banking and Financial Services Professionals
Perhaps one of the most challenging of our recent achievements has been development of the online MBA, which is a totally online general MBA that is uniquely geared toward professionals with careers in, or connected to, the financial services industry. As with the onsite MBA and undergraduate business programs, University of Tennessee at Martin is firmly focused on providing AACSB quality with the online MBA. We welcome applicants with a variety of undergraduate degrees, and a minimum of two years of professional (usually post-bac) experience for the online MBA. Note that we do give preference to prospective students that have had experience within the financial services industry. The online program is cohort-based, with entry into each cohort in January. The 35-hour program is continuous, with completion and graduation in 20 months. The ten classes are offered sequentially, with each class lasting five and a half weeks (for three credit hour classes) or seven and a half weeks (for four credit hour classes). Tuition rates for online out-of-state graduate students are very competitive for an AACSB accredited online MBA.
