Eastern Mediterranean University is a state supported higher education institution and is one of the most respected universities in our region. Our university is a member of European Universities Association (EUA) and the International Association of Universities (IAU). The Faculty of Business and Economics is primarily committed to providing high quality education for students in the Eastern Mediterranean as well as in the contiguous regions with an emphasis on research concerning the issues in these regions complemented by service to the community.
FBE is the pre-eminent academic center in social sciences in North Cyprus. We take pride in the high academic standards we uphold while sustaining a student-friendly environment. Our graduates mostly pursue careers in reputable firms.
Our courses are supported by an online Course Management System which is very widely used by faculty and students and handles over 7,000 uploads and downloads per day. We have joined the SAP University Alliance program and we are planning to integrate various modules of the software into our curriculum.
Differentiating factors
Faculty members are well qualified with doctoral degrees from reputable universities. They remain current in their teaching fields through research and publications in top scholarly journals. A number of instructors have also joined our Faculty after years of distinguished professional service in industry.
Our students are approximately 10% local, 45% from the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and Europe and another 45% from Turkey.
Located in the port city of Gazimagusa, Northern Cyprus, near the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Salamis, EMU reaches out to the global community through international conferences and research centers.
We have also signed an agreement with the Warwick Manufacturing Group of Warwick University to offer the Master of Engineering Management and the Master of Supply Chain Management.
